Looking Back:

Humanities: 
- 5 Sentence Stories using the key elements from our work on 'Story Boards'
- Searching the learning commons for story beginnings, Struggles and Endings
- How to use commas
- Pre-reading activities of dystopian novel study: City of Ember, The Giver, or Among the Hidden.
           - T-chart of Utopian and Dystopian
           - Predictions using evidence

Science:

- Reading dystopian novel to practice our Fluency Focus on "Pausing", practice in small groups
- Add to T-chart with 'Vocab' on one side 'Unusual Rules' on the other (*this should be in notebook)
- Introduction to next Social Studies unit on Local Government, building houses
- Vocabulary: Municipal Government, Provincial Government, Services, Urban, Rural

Science:
- Flight
- Flight Museum and Hanger, field trip preparation

French:
- Animals and Regions of Alberta
- Review of alphabet and numbers

CTF:
Students have completed one module and will begin next module on Tuesday

Important Reminders:

• Mondays - open gym for Grade 6
• Wednesdays at lunch - Just Dance club
• March 12th - Field trip to The Hanger, a few forms have not been handed in. Please pay online through your MyCBE account
• Friday, March 1 - No school/PD Day
