Humanities:
- The focus this week started with the provincial election and guided research on the candidates
- Students cast their votes as part of the 'Studentvote.ca"
- Students wrote a PPPAT(Practice-Practice PAT) and a PPAT (Practice PAT) of the writing portion of the Provincial Achievement Test. They were given a newspaper writing prompt and a narrative writing prompt. The purpose of this task was to help all grade six students and teachers prepare physically and mentally for the long sit as well as any nervousness associated with this testing environment. It is rare for the class to sit still for 1.5 - 2 hour, and most students did great! Any feedback from families about students reactions to this experience would be helpful as well.
- Divisions have been organized by the mayoral council and the roads have been designed.
