- Finished the build of "Boxton", and it looks great!
- Developed the wording around an issue that will be put forward to the Boxton 'City Council' as a proposed 'Bill'. We had a round 'Clock' debate around a few of the issues and practiced thinking about the 'Other Side' or perspective.
- We wrote our Language Arts part A Provincial Achievement Test this week. Excellent job Grade Six!!! You worked your hearts out this month, and the longest test is over. Have a wonderful weekend.

Humanities:
- Examining the structure and process at the local and provincial levels of government to create or change laws/bylaws in Alberta
- Learning about the positions, titles and roles within provincial government to review and support vocabulary cards from previous weeks.
- All students will have one period to research and learn about a topic (Transportation and Traffic, Curfew, Pet Ownership, Noise and Light, Fencing Property, or Waste Management). They will then get one period to prepare opening and closing arguments.
- Class debates on the bill proposal they have prepared. Their topic and side of the argument will be assigned to them on Monday.
Science:

Important Reminders:
- Students are coming home today with invoices for those families who have overdue fieldtrip payments. We cannot go on our final field trip until these payments are made. If your family is under financial strain, please contact Derek Rakowski (Principal) or Leslie McRae (Assistant Principal).
- CTF students involved in photography must have their photos uploaded into Google Drive before Tuesday, May 14th so they are able to work with Ms. Karen during CTF that day.

We will be sending paperwork home this week looking for two-three Volunteers per class. *Note, the hours of this trip are outside the regular school day. We are taking fancy coach busses equipped with bathrooms and a DVD screen, as the trip is 1.5 hours each way. Any parents interested in volunteering, please let me know.
