~Thank you to all the families that made it out to our annual TMC Celebration of Learning~  
It was great to see students working so hard to show off their creative integration of CTF skills as well as experimenting with new ideas.  

Important Notice: Field trip to Blackfoot Crossing Cancelled - by recommendation from our administration, related to many outstanding field trip payments

Looking Back:

Math:
- Probability (theoretical vs experimental) - all work from Wed (15th) and Thurs (16th) due Tuesday, May 21st
- Data (collection and graphing) - all work from Wed (15th) and Thurs (16th) due Tuesday, May 21st
- Estimation Jars
- Practice PAT Part A (computation) - assessment results on PowerSchool - were sent home for part signature
- Factors, Multiples, Integers and Order of Operations test results on PowerSchool - tests were sent home for parent signature

Humanities:
- Steps of basic a debate and using facts to persuade (Dihydrogen Monoxide) activity
- Learning about the positions, titles and roles within provincial government to review and support vocabulary cards from previous weeks.
- Students were assigned and researched a specific proposed bylaw
- In small groups, students developed three 'pillars' to frame an argument with at least three specific stats or details to support each pillar (three on three)
- Scripts are to be written and practiced to present on Tuesday and Wednesday

Science:
- Constellations - plotting on coordinate grid - were due Thursday, May 16th
- Planet Art projects - were due Wednesday, May 15th
- Moon phase project artist reflections - were due Tuesday, May 14th

Looking Forward:

Math:
- probability
- geometry

Humanities:
- Debates to be presented on bylaw proposals
- Research, data collecting, fact, fiction and persuasion
- Learning about public speaking skills and connecting to reading fluency/vocal work
- Reviewing 'To highlight, or not to highlight' and more jot note and study strategies

Science:
- technology in space
- technology to view space
- planet locations
- constellations
